Ægir Brewery has a brewing site, two taprooms, and locations connected with Reykjavík and Hafnarfjörður. This guide separates the brewing address from the taproom addresses and covers the relevant alcohol rule.
A brewery on Grandi
Ægir Brugghús says it brews at Eyjarslóð in Reykjavík. Eyjarslóð is the address named by the brewery for its brewing operation. The brewing site is therefore distinct from the taproom addresses listed below.
The taprooms
Ægir Brugghús runs the Ægir 101 taproom on Laugavegur in Reykjavík and Ægir 220 on Strandgata in Hafnarfjörður. The two locations have separate names and street addresses. Ægir 101 is associated with Laugavegur, while Ægir 220 is associated with Strandgata. The brewery identifies both as taprooms.
Drinking age and buying alcohol
Icelandic law makes it unlawful to sell, serve or hand over alcohol to anyone younger than 20 years of age, and the rules are in the guide to buying alcohol in Iceland.
