The Airwaves Plus upgrade
Airwaves Plus is a ticket upgrade bought on top of a festival pass, a day pass, or a travel package. The upgrade includes priority access to venues, an express queue, and discounts at bars, restaurants, and experiences.
An Airwaves Plus upgrade includes an express queue but does not guarantee entry once a venue is full. All Iceland Airwaves shows are subject to venue capacity. Once a venue is full, no more people are admitted.
Pro and conference passes
Iceland Airwaves sells a Pro Pass and separate conference passes, including a conference day pass. Iceland Airwaves runs a conference programme alongside the music festival.
Special event tickets at Harpa
The Iceland Airwaves 2026 special events are Shygirl on November 4, Dadi Freyr with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra on November 5, and The Streets on November 8.
The special events all take place at Harpa, a concert hall on the Reykjavik waterfront that hosts music performances. The events take place in the Silfurberg and Eldborg halls. They are ticketed separately from the festival passes.
Who sells the tickets, and the rules that come with them
Tix is the ticket provider for Iceland Airwaves, and Iceland Airwaves directs ticket questions to Tix. All sales are final, and refunds are not issued for Iceland Airwaves tickets.
A cancelled performance by an individual artist does not entitle an Iceland Airwaves ticket holder to a refund. All performances are subject to change.
An Iceland Airwaves ticket may be given away or sold on as long as no profit is made. The name on the ticket must be changed through Tix to that of the new holder.
The name on an Iceland Airwaves ticket must match the name on the photo ID shown when the wristband is collected.
Age rules at licensed venues
At a venue licensed to serve alcohol, Icelandic law prohibits young people under 18 from staying after 22 in the evening until the venue closes, unless accompanied by a parent, another guardian, a relative, or a spouse who is 18 or older.
The accompanying adult must stay with the young person the whole time. Some Iceland Airwaves venues are licensed to serve alcohol and others are not.
Guests must be able to show valid photo identification if staff have reason to verify their age. A payment card carrying a name but no photograph does not count as valid identification. Under-age guests may not buy or consume alcohol at Iceland Airwaves venues, whether accompanied or not.
Flights, hotels and airport transfer sold with a pass
Icelandair sells travel packages that combine a flight with a festival pass. A hotel and an airport transfer are options in these packages.
Keflavik Airport tells passengers to take the bus to and from the airport with Flybus and recommends booking tickets in advance. Regular Straeto public transport buses run between the capital area and Keflavik Airport.
