How the estimate works

Accommodation is calculated per room or unit for each night. Food is calculated per traveller for each daytime day, with daytime days treated as the trip nights plus the following day.

When a rental car is included, the estimate adds rental days and fuel based on total distance, consumption, and the entered price per litre. Turning the car option off removes both line items. To put a real figure on the rental line, compare car rental partners.

Live per-tour prices from the Golden Circle comparison will later slot into the activities line as the comparison feature connects, while the fuel cost tool can refine the driving estimate.

Frequently asked questions

Are these live or quoted prices?
No. The calculator uses only the values entered in the form. Its result is a planning estimate, not a quote or live booking price.
How are rental car days calculated?
The estimate treats rental days as the entered number of nights plus the following daytime day. Car and fuel costs are excluded when the rental car option is turned off.
How is the per-person estimate calculated?
The calculator adds the accommodation, car, fuel, food, and activities estimates, then divides the total by the entered number of travellers.
