Ölvisholt Brewery is covered here through its move, beer list, brewery visits, taproom and drinking-age rules. The guide also includes links for the surrounding area and Reykjavík tour options.
From a farm to Hafnarfjörður
Ölvisholt Brugghús moved from a farm in Flóahreppur in South Iceland to Hafnarfjörður. Its address is at Grandatröð in Hafnarfjörður, in the capital area.
The beers
Ölvisholt lists three of its beers: Lava Smoked Imperial Stout, Premium Lager and Session IPA. These are the beers named by the brewery on its own site.
Tours and the taproom
Ölvisholt offers a beer tour and tasting at its brewery. Visit Reykjavík lists the Ölvisholt taproom, along with tours for groups by arrangement. Live details about the brewery’s visits are available on the brewery’s own site.
Drinking age and buying alcohol
Icelandic law makes it unlawful to sell, serve or hand over alcohol to anyone younger than 20 years of age; the rules are in the guide to buying alcohol in Iceland.
