Einstok Olgerd is in the fishing port of Akureyri in North Iceland. Its beers include White Ale, Arctic Pale Ale, Toasted Porter, Wee Heavy, and Arctic Lager.
Where Einstok is brewed
Einstok says its brewing water flows from rain and prehistoric glaciers down Hlidarfjall mountain and through ancient lava fields. Einstok also says the glacier water it brews with comes out of any tap in Akureyri.
Einstok White Ale is sold at Vinbudin, the state alcohol retailer. Einstok Olgerd is listed as the producer, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners is listed as the supplier.
The year-round beers
Einstok White Ale is a Belgian-style witbier spiced with orange peel and coriander. Einstok White Ale is also a wheat beer.
Einstok Arctic Pale Ale uses three varieties of hops. Whole-flower Cascade gives it piney and citrus notes.
Einstok Toasted Porter is a take on Baltic porter made with Icelandic roasted coffee and lager yeast. Einstok Wee Heavy is a Scotch ale brewed with locally farmed smoked barley and spiced with Icelandic angelica. Einstok Arctic Lager is dry-hopped with Citra hops.
Seasonal beers
Einstok brews an Arctic Berry ale with bilberries picked near the Arctic Circle in summer. Einstok also brews a Doppelbock and a Winter Ale with spruce and smoked barley in winter.
