The mountain Vestrahorn rises steeply behind a black sand beach on the peninsula. Vestrahorn is made of gabbro and granophyre rock, which gives it a dark colour. Shallow lagoons and wet black sand at Stokksnes reflect the mountain. Vestrahorn rises to about 454 metres.
